Conditions couldn’t have been better. The rain stopped just as we pulled in to the track Wednesday night, and held off until the very last award was handed out.

The course had everything, from a perfectly groomed MX track, to a straight away the was a 1/2 mile long. A little dust, a couple mud ruts, sand trails, sand whoops, brand new single track, and even a down hill for the experts that would pucker just about anybody.

The turnout was good with 170 riders making the trip from as far away as 15 hours. 10 Pros made it to the line to do battle, and Rory (The Green Blur) Sullivan dropped the hammer right off the start and showed he was not going to mess around. His first four laps were getting better and better as the course came in the the experts lines. By lap 4 Rory had built a 2 minute lead. The battle for second found 4 riders within 15 seconds for almost the entire race. Jesse Barstow, Anthonee Gibbs, Matt Clarke and Lane Buchart put on a show that will not be soon forgotten. In the end, Matt Clarke, was forced out with a mechanical failure and Lane lost touch with a lengthy pit stop, leaving Jesse and Anthonee to do battle and pass each other numerous times defore Jesse was able to put a little gap on Anthonee after a small mistake and take the second place money.

Nothing but smiles and great people all day.
